Dear Supporters and Friends,

Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation is pleased to partner with the Charles Krowitz Woodchuck Golf Classic committee to raise funds for the Charles Krowitz Burkitt's Lymphoma Research Fund at the Hospital. The Golf Tournament will take place at Glen Eagle Golf Club July 9, 2002. All proceeds from the tournament will support the Burkitt's Lymphoma research of Dr. Mark Minden and his Princess Margaret Hospital team.

Burkitt's Lymphoma is a rare, highly aggressive, B-cell tumour. The average age of patients with Burkitt's Lymphoma is 31 and 85% of the patients are male. Unfortunately, patients are usually diagnosed at a late stage of the disease and only 45% will survive 5 years after diagnosis.

The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation works with health care and research professionals, patients, their families and the community to ensure Princess Margaret Hospital remains one of the world's premier cancer centers. Investing its communities' contributions in breakthrough cancer research, compassionate patient care and education has brought The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation closer to achieving its vision and conquering cancer.

We are grateful for support of "Charles Krowitz Woodchuck Golf Classic" and look forward to a long, productive and prosperous relationship. Please feel free to contact me directly at (416) 946-4579 should you have any questions.

On behalf of the volunteers, staff, patients and their families, we thank you.

Sincerely,
Caterina Magisano
Coordinator, Special Events
